Alrewas Arts Festival 2006

“When we started planning the festival, we were clear about one thing – we wanted a festival that would celebrate the artistic and performing talent in the village. We knew there was a lot of creative talent in Alrewas and we have been delighted to find much more than we first thought.” Graham Sellors, Chair of the Arts Festival Committee 2006

During that week-long celebration of local talent, more than 20 village artists and craft workers volunteered to share their skills and run “have-a-go” sessions. In addition, over 100 local performers took part in a variety of events, from poetry and drama to classical music and dance.

There was a real excitement and community spirit during the week which was so rewarding that the  we simply couldn't NOT do it again!
