ART PROJECT 1 |

'Tiles
of the Riverbank' |
Sally Stanton will be leading this
exciting project. Painting sessions will be advertised soon. Just come
along and paint a tile!
A painting by local artist Val Spilsbury is being
blown up and divided into15cm
squares. These squares are to be painted onto 15cm wooden tiles.
165 tiles will make up the full picture and 65 tiles for a border, a
total of 221 tiles to be painted. So please come and help. Some tiles
will be very simple so you don't have to be an experienced painter to have
a go. Those with artistic skills are very welcome too as there will be
some
more challenging tiles to paint. There are also tiles suitable for
children, whom we welcome. All children they will need to be accompanied
by an adult.
We hope that the finished work will replace the worn out Style Street
painting on The William IV public house.
Details of sessions coming soon.......... |

Lanterns |
During an early
planning meeting Joanna and Paula were musing on potential public art
projects. Joanna remembered seeing beautiful Lanterns on holiday and after
a little research they realised that this was too good an idea to ignore.
Paula went along to the MoonRakers Festival in February and just knew
Lanterns were for us!
