Alrewas Arts Festival

A biennial community event

2024 Festival

'What's happening during Festival week ?' I hear you cry!

It's all here for you to see. You can't book yet but start making your wish list!

We'll start with a Street Market in Post Office Road on Saturday 17th August. The Box Office will be open as will the Arts Cafe. There'll be street food and entertainment as well as our opening ceremony. Thanks so much to the Crown Inn for use of their carpark.

Throughout the week you can stroll around the Art Exhibition in the Arts Cafe. Out back, we'll have some fun activities for children and adults.  The photo exhibition will be open all week  in All Saints Church . Contact if you'd like to submit your pieces.

Our venues, all given free of charge for the week (thank you!) will host 80+ arts, crafts, words, making, repair, walks, DJ and music workshops. Amazing opportunities for people of ALL ages to have a fun, learn and celebrate, dance and generally have a joyous time.

We'll have some walks and we hope to have a play day on the Island. We have drop-in sessions, and 'take a pet for a walk' opportunities (not a living pet....intrigued?).

We have a breadth of Talks again this year. Increasingly popular, this aspect of the Festival offers a special opportunity for you to gain insight into expert knowledge; from the joy of cycling, music on vinyl over the decades, the nuclear industry, forestry, brewing, archaeological finds, wild swimming, bee's, and sustainable fashion. I'll be there for all of them. You'll need to take time from your day job to catch them folks - start planning now!

We've unprecedented numbers of musicians this year.  I'm excited to welcome new bands, musicians, choirs and singers! Warm up your vocal's going to be fabulous!

Our Finale concert will be held on Walkfield on Saturday 24th August. You know the form; bring a picnic, a big voice, and your dancing shoes!  There'll be lantern making workshops in July / August where you can help us make some big fun magical lanterns to accompany some rather lovely other 'items' for the procession - that i'm not allowed to talk about yet!

Enough for now!
