Alrewas Arts Festival

Alrewas Arts Festival

A biennial community event

Aug 28, 2021

Come along to Alrewas Island on Sunday 5th September between 11 and 5.

Meet the Festival and the Island crew and see how this lovely village resource is being developed.

There will be a craft market, children's nature trail, working with willow and wood sessions, and an opportunity to try sketching with charcoal made from the Islands beautiful willow trees. The village archive team, knitwits, the drama society will be on hand for chats about these great village groups. Bring a picnic!  The scouts will have burgers and hot dogs too if you fancy something tasty and warm. Scones, sweet and savoury are being baked I hear. We will have a selection of local musicians for you too. This will be in our Festival tent if the weather is a bit brisk.  Here's the line up: Bruce will bring some drums around 11:45 followed by Poppy singing if we are lucky. Hector and Chris around 2pm then Bill and Dave around 3:15.  Fabulous eh?!

There will be disabled parking available. No room on site for additional parking. The Church carpark can be used after 11:30.

The Festival crew will be in fetching HiVis jackets if you have any queries.

This will be a gently village fun event - no bells and whistles (unless we can persuade Joanna!). It will happen rain or shine. Bring your own seating  / picnic blankets and a brolley if it rains.  Oh, and sturdy shoes - the ground, as you would expect, is a little uneven.
